Dear MTA,

Get your shit together. Being stopped by an armed guard just to enter 27th street on my way to class is not tres classe!

The MTA is facing an INSANE budget deficit of $800 mil and is making major cutbacks, which apparently has TONS of people up in arms, making it extremely annoying for me to get to class the other day (aka march 4th). The W line is being eliminated, service on eight other subway lines have been slashed, 12 bus routes have gone VAMOOSSE, and free MetroCards for students are loonng gone.

Things got a little heated at a public hearing at the Brooklyn Museum last week, where four people were arrested. Video below for your enjoyment. On March 4th rioters marched from Governor Paterson's office (633 3rd Ave for those who wanna get the word heard) to The Fashion Institute of Technology where the final hearing was held.

I totally get the need for police reinforcement when a rally is going on...but I have a couple of questions.

Are the machine guns really necessary MR.OFFICER? and what exactly are you planning on doing with them? When would it ever be necessary to open fire at a fashion school full of girls&gays who don't even know who Govna' Paterson is????? I'm pretty sure the worst they could do to you is beat you to death with their LOUIS VUITTON satchel. So calm the fuck down and STOP RAISING THE METRO PRICE...how am I ever gonna afford that Chanel Bracelet when the MTA is robbing my wallet and giving me back those STUPID GOLD DOLLAR COINS. I DON'T WANT THEM!!!!!
